Below you can find some answers to frequently asked questions
How long will it take to register the domain that I have just ordered?
International domain names (.com, .net, .org, etc ..) and .ro annually are registered when payment is received. In case of payments by credit card, PayPal or Skrill, domains are registered virtually in seconds. .ro Domains, .com.ro, .org.ro are usually registered within one hour during normal working hours and within few hours on weekends.
If I want to buy only the domain, without hosting, how to do it?
Suppose you want to register a domain and do not wish to host it here, you'll host it at another provider. Therefore we recommend you to find out what nameservers need to be attached on the order form when registering the domain. This information can be requested from your hosting provider. If you host your domain with us, we already have pre-filled order forms for nameservers fields with ours: ns1.newhost.ro and ns2.newhost.ro.
Will my domain work if I do not type www in front?
Depending on the DNS zone setup. What we can say for sure is that both in our case, or other providers that offer their customers cPanel, the DNS zone created implicitly allows operation of the domain name with or without WWW before. If you choose to manage your own DNS service, you must know how to properly configure the domain zone so that it works in both ways.
Are there any restrictions on domain name registrations?
For .ro domains and its derivatives you should declare your ID where recording will be made on individual or fiscal data if the domain holder shall be a registered company. For individuals the displayed information in WHOIS are kept confidential under RoTLD policy. .eu domains can be owned only by individuals or companies residing or carrying out their activity in the European Union. .pro domains are reserved strictly for use by companies or by licensed professionals regardless of their location. Individuals can not register a .pro domain.
If I want to transfer the domain to you, which is the procedure?
To transfer your domain towards registrars that are in our partnerships we need the EPP code or transfer authorization code. Also, before starting the transfer procedure you must make sure that at your old registrar you have not activated the option "Registrar Lock", an additional security measure that can prevent unauthorized transfers of your domain name, even if for one reason or another the security EPP code has been compromised.
Do you ensure privacy and protection services?
For .ro domains and its derivatives privacy function is automatically enabled for individuals and automatically deactivated for registered companies. You can not change these settings at registration, or thereafter. RoTLD chose a strict policy of protecting (or lack of protection, as appropriate) data for domain name holders. Privacy Protection function can also be activated for .com and .net domains by sending a request to email@example.com.
